Citywise Education

Citywise Means Business

We are Citywise Education and we aim to inspire young people in under-served city localities to take their education seriously and to set their sights higher. We make learning fun while helping young people to develop personal skills.

We are delighted to have been successful in securing Skills & Opportunities funding for our Citywise Means Business project. This project engages young people aged 10 – 18 in an out-of-school environment with business-related programmes designed to encourage financial capability and entrepreneurship in west Tallaght, an area of Dublin where only 4.5% of people hold college degrees. The aim is to harness young people’s business talents to help raise the economic prospects of their communities.

Receiving this funding will allow us to co-ordinate the delivery of more than 5,000 hours of business programmes to 200 young people, delivered by 30 to 40 volunteers. The funding will also help in the promotion of programmes, the organisation of ‘Dragons Den’ type activities and summer programmes, and the organisation of work placements with businesses.
