Mind Your Own Business - Business & Business Owner Development Training

We are Southside Partnership DLR CLG. We work with organisations throughout Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown to support those experiencing social exclusion and disadvantage, to find positive opportunities to improve their circumstances.

We provide services to all age groups, including employment and self-employment support.

Thanks to the Ulster Bank Skills & Opportunities Fund, we have received the support we need for our Mind Your Own Business – Business & Business Owner Development Training project.

The project will provide stand-alone, modular workshop training sessions in local, disadvantaged areas, for unemployed people, as well as other identified target groups.

The funding will allow us to offer training to 150 people, designed to help them develop both the business skills needed to run a business, and the personal skills required to sustain and grow that business.

The training will focus on business development, marketing, sales and finance skills, as well as softer skills such as presentation, communication and networking.

The funding will also allow us to give 90 participants additional one-to-one support and guidance on their business. Overall, our goal is to create at least 90 self-employed positions through the project, and further employment opportunities for at least 20 others.
