Roscommon Women's Network

Roscommon Women into Enterprise

We are Roscommon Women's Network, an organisation supporting women and families throughout the county of Roscommon. We are a women's organisation that understands the needs of women, and our work is directed by their needs.

We are excited to have received the support of the Ulster Bank Skills & Opportunities Fund for our Roscommon Women into Enterprise project – an innovative means of reaching out to women in disadvantaged areas to promote inclusive economic growth.

We do this by offering capacity building, business awareness, initial business start-up support and matching participants to successful business mentors.

First of all, we seek to engage potential participants, then to encourage active participation in the project, and finally to develop strategies to support women at a local, regional and national level, based on what we learn from the project.

Thanks to the funding, we can support women who want to start their own business. We will support them individually to build their confidence and skills, and will also provide networking opportunities, one-to-one mentoring, training and workshops in goal setting, planning, finance and all other key areas of importance when starting up or running a business.
